Manchester Regional Arena to host opening day of The Fly 2024

The Fly has announced the opening weekend of the 2024 competition will be landing in the heart of Manchester at the Manchester Regional Arena.

The teams will begin their campaigns on Saturday 11 May with Forge, Hustle, Rise, and Swift taking to the field for the return of the UK’s premier Sixes competition.

The Manchester Regional Arena is part of the multi-million pound Etihad Campus development which also includes the Etihad Stadium, City Football Academy, House of Sport Manchester, and the new Co-op Live indoor arena.

Originally built as a warmup arena for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, in recent years the venue has hosted the British Athletics Championships as well as NEMLA Premiership and Senior Flags Lacrosse fixtures.

The Fly has provided the platform for international Sixes stars to shine at The World Games and World Lacrosse Super Sixes events, and now this is the first chance to see those players in action at The Fly since the milestone Olympic Games announcement.

The best Sixes players in the UK will all be on display in Manchester this summer delivering high-level, high-intensity, and high-drama lacrosse for everyone to experience.

Manchester Regional Arena is located just 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre and Manchester Piccadilly Station with a direct tram route stopping at the Etihad Campus, making the venue hugely accessible, and putting The Fly in a perfect position for its opening day.

More details, including on how you can be the first to secure tickets for The Fly 2024, and at discount prices, will be released soon.
