Please note, this event has been postponed until the new year due to inclement weather expected on Sunday 11 December.
The England men’s training squad will host a coaching clinic for aspiring England players on Sunday 11 December as part of their fundraising efforts ahead of the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s World Championship.
Aimed at players between 11 and 17 years old of any ability, the coaching clinic will feature several of the 46-player England men’s training squad as announced last month.
Taking place at Wilmslow Lacrosse Club near Manchester, the squad will host an under-12, an under-14, and an under-18 session throughout the day starting from 10am.
A special shooting competition will also take place during the day with some exclusive prizes on offer!
England men’s Team Manager, Dominic Charlson, says the day will be a fantastic opportunity for the England training squad to inspire the next generation of talent.
“Every player in the training squad started at a club like Wilmslow and worked their way up to the very top and to have the opportunity to give back to a group of young aspiring England players is very special.
“The day will also be an amazing chance for us to raise some much-needed funds ahead of next year’s World Championship in San Diego and every penny raised will go towards the team fund.”
The 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s World Championship is due to take place between 21 June to 1 July next year at San Diego State University and the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA, USA.
England’s 46-player training squad will eventually be whittled down to a final 23 in March ahead of the Championship in June.
