In preparation for their 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s World Championship campaign, the Netherlands will take on two Midlands select teams in two friendlies on Saturday 12 November.
The games, which will take place at Keresley RFC in Coventry, will first see a Midlands select B team play a Netherlands B team at 11am before a Midlands select A team play a Netherlands A team at 1pm.
The Midlands select squads will be managed/coached by Chris White, Anthony Walker, and Iain Bate in what will be a good test for a Netherlands side who finished 22nd at the last World Lacrosse Men’s World Championship in 2018 and seventh at the last Men’s European Lacrosse Championship in 2016.
Some of England’s best club players will be playing for the Midlands select teams, including a couple of players involved in the last two editions of The Fly, in what will undoubtedly be a tough challenge against an international team who finished second (to England) at the Men’s European Lacrosse Championship just 14 years ago.
Those wanting to watch the games can do so by heading to Keresley RFC in person where admittance will be free of charge!
