England Lacrosse is delighted to join Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme, the leading employers’ programme for ensuring workplaces are truly inclusive.
Being a part of the programme highlights our commitment to embedding LGBTQ+ inclusion into our workplace and across our entire organisation.
As part of the programme, Stonewall will support us to enter the Workplace Equality Index as well as provide tailored email and phone support and advice as and when needed.
They’ll also help us to attract and retain the best talent by listing us on their Proud Employers careers site, Stonewall’s LGBTQ-inclusive jobs board, enabling us to attract diverse talent and position England Lacrosse as an inclusive employer of choice.
In addition to that, they’ll also help us to build our professional network through access to their annual series of seminars and webinars with topics ranging from Workplace Equality Index best practice to global mobility.
Ultimately, being a part of the Diversity Champions programme will help us to learn from the vast knowledge and expertise held at Stonewall as they give us access to their own LGBTQ+ inclusion guidance resources, review our policies for LGBTQ+ inclusion by their in-house team of experts, and have the opportunity to train England Lacrosse staff, providing them with the knowledge and confidence to play their part in creating an inclusive workplace.
England Lacrosse Head of Commercial & Marketing and Inclusion Lead, Caroline Royle, said:
“England Lacrosse's commitment to become a Stonewall Diversity Champion highlights the work we’re doing to be a truly inclusive organisation.
“With Stonewall’s help, we’ll continue the work already being done within the organisation to increase and improve inclusion in our sport from grassroots all the way up to the Board Room.
“We can’t wait to get started and look forward to working with such an experienced organisation as Stonewall.”
Stonewall work with over 900 organisations across the UK and every one of their Diversity Champions shares their core belief in the power of a workplace that truly welcomes, respects and represents LGBTQ+ employees.
