British Lacrosse is welcoming expressions of interest from players interested in competing on the Women’s British Lacrosse team at The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Women’s coaching staff are looking for world-class lacrosse players who are committed and passionate about developing British Lacrosse Sixes to play in The World Games from 12-17 July.
With World Lacrosse having recently received full recognition from the IOC, The World Games will be the first chance to showcase Sixes in an IOC recognised event in the quest to return lacrosse to the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

Players interested in being selected should apply by completing the expression of interest form below by 3 September. Once applications have closed, selected players will be invited to an initial tournament style trial date on Sunday 3 October.
Proposed training dates in addition to competition dates:
3 October - Trials (40 invitations)
28 November (meeting 6pm on 27 November) - Training 1
23 January - Training 2
6 March (meeting 6pm on 5 March)- selection finalised
28-29 May - Final training weekend
10 July - transfer travel day to TWG2022 from Towson, if involved in WC (travel from UK day TBC)
The form includes more details on anticipated costs and all training dates. British Lacrosse believes in the potential of 'achieving more together' and have worked with the home nations to ensure players will be able to balance playing in both the 10 -aside World Championships in Towson as well as the World Games.
