England Lacrosse will be hosting the Men’s Winter Classic over the weekend 14 & 15 December at the Manchester Armitage Sports Centre, located at the University of Manchester.

The weekend will also be being used by the England Senior Men’s coaching staff as an official trial event to put together the 2020 training group ahead of the 2020 European Championship in Poland.

"I am really looking forward to working with and evaluating the best that England has to offer, as we build the best team possible on the road to European Championships. It will also be exciting to see the 6 a-side game on expedition." England Men’s Head Coach, Doug Shanahan.

The Winter Classic provides further high-level competition for the best club and university players in England and showcases the best talent in the country. With the addition of the National squad trial, the standard is set to be high and it should prove a great weekend of top level action.

The weekend will follow a similar format to last year with a combination of 10 a-side and 6 a-side matches across the two days at a cost of £40.

The Winter Classic will be a valuable opportunity to play sustained high level lacrosse under the guidance of national level coaches, in addition to getting the opportunity to play the new olympic proposed version of the game.

Any players wanting to be considered for selection should complete the form below and will then be contacted to confirm participation at the Winter Classic weekend.

We ask that you complete the Winter Classic registration by Sunday 3 December so that players can be drafted and assigned to teams with plenty of time before the weekend.

Once the registration period has closed, squad selections will take place and players put in touch with their appointed coach before the weekend.
