Nominations are now open for the 2023 Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards that aims to highlight “women who have inspired, encouraged, kept people active, and introduced people to new sports”.
At the 2023 event, awards will be handed out across seven categories, including the Changemaker Award, The Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year, Citi Disability Sportswoman of the Year, Grassroots Sportswoman of the Year, Team of the Year, Young Sportswoman of the Year, and the Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration; a break down of all the awards can be found below.
Judging the awards this year will be an exceptional panel of some of the best athletes Great Britain has ever produced with Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill DBE, Ama Agbeze MBE, Lauren Steadman MBE, Rebecca Adlington OBE, Chrissie Wellington OBE, and Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE all providing their expertise.
The nomination process will close at midnight on 31 August 2023, after which a judging panel will draw up the shortlist which will be announced on 1 October 2023. The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony evening in November.

Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration | Recognising inspirational endeavour in honour of the late sports presenter Helen Rollason
