England Lacrosse can confirm that there will be no change to the current rules played in England for the upcoming season following the agreement of the domestic rule books for 2023/24.
The rules for men’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse have been agreed for the forthcoming season with the existing rule books being carried forward unchanged.
World Lacrosse had issued updates to its women’s lacrosse rule book, however, after reviewing the rule updates and in consultation with the Officiating Advisory Group and wider game, National Lacrosse Committee (NLC) felt there were a number of clarifications still required in relation to the suggested updates.
Therefore, NLC has agreed not to adopt these rules for the domestic game for the upcoming season and will review the rule book, once clarifications have been published, for the 2024/25 season.
The current women’s domestic rule book that will be played for the 2023/24 season can be viewed below.
In addition, there were also no rule updates proposed for men’s lacrosse and as such the men’s domestic game will also continue to operate to the existing rule book for the 2023/24 season.
