Vacancy | England Men's Under 20 Head Coach position

An exciting opportunity to lead the brightest young English talent on the international stage.

England Lacrosse is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and inspirational Head Coach to lead the England Men’s Under 20 programme, supporting players’ ongoing development and transition towards the England Men’s Senior programme.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing a coaching team, tasked with developing young people who can bring together technical and tactical skillsets with the physical robustness, attitudes and behaviours to eventually perform on a senior world stage.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the development and implementation of plans for the U20 programme, challenging players to operate daily at the highest standards required to achieve sustained development.

The appointed person will need to be comfortable working with high potential young people and adept at managing and working collaboratively with a team of staff to achieve maximum output from available resources.

The Head Coach of this programme will be key in introducing athletes to international competition where required, including leading the squads at World Championships, European Championships, Home International Series, and other international fixtures and tours as appropriate within the programme schedule.

Central to this will be setting the required standards and values for representing England Lacrosse on the world stage and ensuring these opportunities are key learning moments for all.

The Head Coach will work closely with the England Lacrosse National Performance Manager in overseeing the strategy, standards, and ongoing direction of the programme and ensuring the overall culture of the programme is aligned with England Lacrosse’s vision and values.

The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with the senior squad Head Coaches and England Lacrosse staff and coaches on the National Academy programme in solidifying the synergy, direction, and clear progression pathway across the programme.

As with all coaching roles at the beginning of a new cycle, England Lacrosse will be holding a full, open application and interview process with all prospective candidates welcome to apply.

This is a voluntary role with reasonable and necessary expenses provided.
