Sally Keogh continues as England Women's Under 23 Head Coach

England Lacrosse is pleased to announce that Sally Keogh is to continue as Head Coach of the England Women’s Under 23s programme.

Sally has been in the position since 2021, following a promotion from the U23 Assistant Coach role she took up two years previously.

The Women’s U23s recently won the World Championship Festival event defeating the U23 side of rivals Australia in the final, providing the players with good experience as they continue their development towards senior international lacrosse.

As a player, Sally is a World Cup medal winner and European champion, having played in two World and three European events since her England debut in 2003, most memorably as a member of the 2017 World Cup bronze medal winning team.

Following their playing career, Sally began her work with the U23s in 2019, as well as serving as Goalkeeping Coach for the U19s at the 2019 Junior World Championship in Canada.

She is also currently Head of Lacrosse at St Helen and St Katharine School in Oxfordshire.

On continuing in the role, Sally Keogh said: “I’m excited and thrilled to be able to continue working with the Under 23 group.

”I feel very privileged to work with such a great group of future England players and to be able to give back to the game and the England programme.”

Derek Morgan, England Lacrosse National Performance Manager, said: “I am pleased that Sally will be continuing with the positive work she has already achieved as U23s Head Coach.

“The U23 programme is an important bridge for our athletes between junior and senior international lacrosse and having Sally’s knowledge and experience in this role will be key for their continued development.”
