England Lacrosse would like to issue the following update regarding our Boy’s Academy and the selection process attached to it.

In line with England Lacrosse’s ambition to enhance the talent pool underpinning the Senior Men’s Performance Programme, the U18 Boys’ Academy will form the pathway for players and coaches leading to the U20’s programme and potential selection to represent England at future European and World Championships.

Going forwards, players wishing to earn selection for major event squads will be assessed via ongoing observation and performance during scheduled academy and age group training camps which replaces the previous route of trial-based selection.

To support the progression of talent development within the Pathway, a recruitment process will take place in due course to appoint a men’s U20 coaching team to increase the training and development opportunities available to appropriate players.
