2022 BUCS Lacrosse 6s Championships Preview

The 2022 BUCS Lacrosse 6s Championships take place this Sunday (16 October) with some of the best university players from across the country coming together to play fast and furious Sixes Lacrosse.

After the last few years at Bristol University, the Championship has moved to its new home at Nottingham Trent University, Clifton Campus with 33 teams competing to be BUCS 6s champions and for valuable BUCS Points.

Loughborough are the defending champions in the men’s competition defeating UWE 5-4 in last year’s final, while 2021 Women’s National Champions University of Nottingham also added the BUCS 6s title to their collection overcoming Exeter 4-3, with both teams back this year.

2022 is also the second edition of the event in its new Sixes and 6-a-side format, aligning the competition with the proposed Olympic and Commonwealth version of the sport, and England Lacrosse’s leading domestic Sixes League, The Fly.

With 16 teams in the men’s competition and 17 in the women’s, the sides have been ranked and split into Championship and Trophy divisions to ensure competitive competition throughout the day.

The full men’s and women’s competition schedules can be found below, while you can follow updates throughout the day across England Lacrosse social media channels.
