England Lacrosse has two upcoming Referees courses for officials looking to take the next step with their officiating careers.
Level 2 and Level 3 Referees courses are now available to be booked to assist referees in moving through the officiating pathway.
Due to the pandemic, in-person officiating courses have largely not been possible for the last 18 months; however, we are delighted to now be able to restart our in-person sessions to develop England’s officiating talent.
Details on the course dates and requirements to complete the qualification can be found below.
Book on the Level 2 course from £70 or the Level 3 course from £90 for England Lacrosse members.

Note: Refereeing Courses cover officiating Men’s Field Lacrosse only; Women’s Field Lacrosse is covered by our Umpiring Courses
Level 2 Course Schedule
Webinar session
Participants will be required to attend an initial webinar session on Wednesday 29 September from 7pm-9pm.
In person-training
Participants will then be required to attend an in-person training day at either Stockport Lacrosse Club or Spencer Lacrosse Club, both held on Sunday 10 October from 9am-3pm.
On-field assessment
Participants will then be required to complete an on-field assessment carried out by an England Lacrosse assessor to be organised following the completion of the webinar and in-person training.
Level 3 Course Schedule
Webinar session
Participants will be required to attend webinar sessions on Sunday 24 October from 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm. Participants must be present for both sessions.
In-person training and on-field assessment
Participants will also be required to attend a practical training sessions which will include both learning and tutoring whilst officiating matches.
Participants will be then be required to complete on-field assessments at matches carried out by England Lacrosse assessors to ensure competency.
