The England Lacrosse Board has agreed to freeze membership and affiliation fees for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
As the 2021/22 lacrosse season approaches, the decision has been taken by the Board in order to support the recovery of the game by keeping individual membership and club, school and university affiliation fees at levels first set in 2018/19.
At a time where people may well be feeling the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, we felt it is important not to put any additional costs on to our members, schools and clubs.
We have worked throughout this challenging period to do whatever we can to ensure that our membership has the opportunity to return to play in the safest possible environment and continue to work to reduce any negative impact affecting the sport.
As a result, previously agreed increases will again be put on hold for this season.
Mark Coups, England Lacrosse CEO, said: “We recognise the difficulties all participating in Lacrosse (clubs) have faced during the pandemic, which is why, after agreement by the Board, we have taken the decision to freeze our membership and affiliation fees for 2021/22.
“Our members are the lifeblood of the sport and although we have all had to adapt over the last year, we are always committed to providing a strong service to them to support the growth of lacrosse.
“We really appreciate your support during these difficult times and cannot stress the importance of it as we seek to put lacrosse in England on the best possible footing going forward.”
Membership and affiliation fees help fund the work of England Lacrosse and the growth of the sport, as well as providing a range of benefits to individuals and clubs.
