SAFE SPORT
Promoting a Safe Sport continues to be a key priority for us moving forward and we all have a role to play in making sure that our lacrosse community is a well-run and welcoming environment for all. We have a range of poster resources that can be downloaded and either put up at your club, used online, or sent to other members as good to know information.
OFFICIATING ANNUAL RULES TESTS
The 2024/25 Annual Rules Test (ART) will once again be published on the EL Learning Platform to be completed ahead of the upcoming season. The ART is a mandatory requirement for all officials to ensure currency of the rules and any rule changes that may have been made.
The ARTs will be live from Friday 15 August - All officials with membership for the previous season will also be sent direct communications on completing the ART once live on the EL Learning Platform. Remember, your qualification will not be valid without completing the new ART and renewing your membership for the 2024/25 season.
The ART can be accessed directly from your membership profile. Login and view your profile, select Access Learning Platform from the sidebar menu and you should then be able to directly access the tests.

Both Referee and Umpire ARTs will be visible; please select the test relevant to your qualification(s). If you hold both qualifications, please complete both tests.
COACHING QUALIFICATIONS
For all our EL coaching qualifications, there are a number of added conditions that need to be met in addition to holding a valid membership to ensure your qualifications remain valid and, as part of our commitment to promoting Safe Sport, are important to reassure our members that lacrosse is a safe and well-ran sport that is welcoming to all.
In order to be fully compliant, all coaches should meet the below requirements and declare them through their Sport80 profile:
Complete a basic safeguarding course (within the last 3 years)
Complete a basic first aid course/online training (within the last 3 years)
Hold a DBS Certificate (within the last 3 years) or be signed up to the DBS update service

England Lacrosse also offer a free online safeguarding course that can be completed in your own time. The course can be accessed directly from your membership profile.
